Hollywood California is known for its entertainment and Hollywood Florida is known for different things. There are so many different types of activities that one can enjoy in Hollywood, Florida that a vacationing tourist will have difficulties deciding exactly what to do. The most famous activity in Hollywood is “The Boardwalk.” This is a promenade that goes alongside the beach that has attracted millions of walkers and bicyclists since the year 1924. Along the promenade you will find small shops and cafés that will cater to the tourist with traditional seafood cuisine and other ethnic delights. Hollywood's downtown area is unique with its own flair that is hard to resist. With a down-home type feeling, the downtown area features are historical places, world-class shopping, great restaurants, and excitement. Though the downtown encompasses only six blocks, it hosts a plethora of events and festivals throughout the year. Once the sun goes down the downtown becomes totally different. It is known for its nightlife with a mixture of night clubs and pubs that will delight all.
It is off the beaten track as a Florida vacation destination, but it is becoming known for its quaint and quiet lifestyle versus the hustle and bustle of larger cities such as Miami or Orlando. With quiet beaches and a down-home southern feeling, Hollywood Florida is becoming known as a place for relaxation and quiet vacationing. The city can be accessed from Interstate 95 if you're coming from the north or south and Interstate 595 if you're coming from the east. No matter how you get there you will find Hollywood, Florida is open to tourism and will give you a vacation of a lifetime.
